In my exploration of possible career options I’ve stumbled upon a real growth industry with high-earning potential and excellent exposure — stripping. In case you haven’t noticed, there has never been a better time than now to be a stripper. Back in the day, strippers didn’t have much of a future, it was pretty much slut yourself out on the pole and pray that some really old, rich dude comes into your club and wants to take you home and keep you as a pet. Now thanks to reality TV there are so many more options, turn on MTV or VH1 and pretty much everyone on those channels is a stripper. Pretty much if you’re a stripper and you audition for a reality show there’s a 50% chance you’re going to get your own show — look at Daisy of Love, I Love New York, Brooke Knows Best…Daisy of Love, now there’s a perfect example of a stripper showing up at TGIFridays to audition to hook up with Brett Michaels and ending up with her own show. And here I thought my ticket to fame was my quick wit. Now if only I could find an illegitimate plastic surgeon who doesn’t care about adding 50 pounds of boobs to a 100 pound body, I’ll have to call one of the girls from Rock of Love.
