Cursing

A recent study done by someone (there’s no bibliography section on this site so back off) proves that cursing relieves physical pain. How, you ask? The act of cursing provides an emotional release that raises your heart rate, which in turn numbs/ distracts from the physical pain. So when you slam a door on your finger, the act of screaming “fuck” helps alleviate the hurt. The rise in heart rate is due to the fact that cursing is improper or frowned upon and therefore you feel a sense of excitement or danger when you do it. This study must have been done among English women in the late 1800’s because I haven’t felt excitement when I curse since 2nd grade. That’s around the time where I adopted “fuck” as “please” and “shit” as “no”.  So if you’re one of the people who does fall into that category, congratulations, you have an inherent way to relieve pain. You’re also a pussy.
